In the year 2016, Little Flower Province initiated our works in Bihar and Jharkhand States, making the provisions for effective pastoral care for the Syro - Malabar Migrant Faithful. Most Rev. Bishop Raphel Thattil, Bishop of Shamshabad appointed Fr Lona Kallely CST as the Regional Coordinator of the eastern region, comprising of Bihar and Jharkhand Civil States and the Zonal Coordinator of south eastern Zone of Uttar Pradesh with effect from 19 March 2016. He initiated the works of taking care of the pastoral activities of Syro- Malabar Migrant Community of these areas. In September 2018 Fr Roy Vattakara CST was given the Responsibility and appointed Zonal Coordinator and continued the work of pastoral care of the Syro -Malabar Migrant Community. A contract was signed on 08 September 2020 between the Eparchy of Shamshabad and Little Flower Province Gorakhpur (CST Fathers) which came in to effect from 01 October 2020 and Bishop of Eparchy of Shamshabad entrusted the territories comprising the area of federal states of Bihar and Jharkhand and part of Uttar Pradesh to Little Flower Province Gorakhpur to carry out the Missionary Apostolates of Pastoral care and works of evangelization with administrative autonomy. An apartment was taken on rent in Digha, Patna in October 2021 and Little Flower Ashram Patna under the Eparchy of Shamshabad was blessed on 18 November 2021 by His Grace Sebastian Kallupura, Archbishop of Archdiocese Patna, and inaugurated by very Rev. Fr Sabu Kandamkettiyil CST, Provincial Superior of Little Flower Province of Gorakhpur. Fr Lona Kallely was appointed as the Superior of Little Flower Ashram Digha, Patna. Fr. Lona Kallely was appointed Vicar General of the Diocese of Shamshabad by the Bishop Mar Raphael Thattil, Bishop of Shamshabad for these territories.
