Little Flower Province was in the mode of expansion and extension of various Ministries to the neighbouring Dioceses and the Provincial Administration approached Most Rev. Isidore Fernandes, the Bishop of Allahabad, in February 2011, and his response was that “I’m very happy to have one more Cross planted in my Diocese”. After getting the positive response from the Bishop, we searched land in Tanda and Akbarpur area to establish a new mission. Since we could not find a proper plot in Tanda or Akbarpur we moved to Faizabad area. On 15 September, 2012, Fr. John Kulathinkal was appointed in charge with a team of Fathers to purchase a plot in Allahabad Diocese and establish a new mission station in the Diocese. The team located a place near to Faizabad-Sultanpur road at Village Kalyan Bhadarsa, Faizabad District (now Ayodhya District) and the first plot was registered on 23 January 2013. Seven registrations were done at different intervals and now we have 7.5 acres of land, in the name of two societies i.e. Little Flower Mission Education Society, and Little Flower Society, Gorakhpur. After purchasing the land, Fr. John Kulathinkal started staying in a rented house at Faizabad city, for a year to supervise the initial construction and in May 2014 he shifted to the present campus and started to stay in a temporary residence. On 12 December 2014, the foundation stone of the Little Flower Ashram was blessed and laid by Rev. Fr. Lona Kallely, the Provincial Superior. We got a special donation from the Family, in memory of Fr. Thomas Plathottam CST and the Ashram building constructions progressed with this donation. Most Rev. Raphy Manjally, the Bishop of Allahabad (now Archbishop, Archdiocese of Agra) blessed the building on 19 February, 2016, in the presence of Rev. Fr. Provincial, many Fathers and Sisters from Gorakhpur, Allahabad and Lucknow Dioceses. The foundation stone of Little Flower School building was blessed and laid by His Excellency Most Rev. Bishop Raphy Manjally, the Bishop of Allahabad on 12 June 2014. The School started functioning on 16 April 2015 with 37 children, 8 Staff, Fr. John Kulathinkal as Manager and Fr. Benny Thekkumkattil as Principal. Rev. Fr John Kadaliyil CST, the Provincial Superior blessed and Mr. Harishankar Lal Shukla, SDM of Sohawal Ayodhya, officially inaugurated Little Flower School on 06 July 2015. The School obtained Temporary Recognition on 12 April 2018 from the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) for running the School till the Class Vlll and got No Objection Certificate from the Uttar Pradesh Government on 20 January 2022. After receiving the Permanent Recognition from BSA on 27 February 2023, we got Affiliation with CISCE, New Delhi on 23 August 2023. Class IX Students have been registered with the Board, and they will appear in the Board Examinations in March 2025. Receiving a Minority Status Certificate on 06 September 2023 is another significant accomplishment for our Institution. Infrastructure development is taking place very rapidly. The Sisters of Sacred Heart (SSH), of Ranchi Province, collaborate with us and three Sisters joined the community on 27 June 2023 and we had the inauguration of the Convent on 30 June 2023. Social Work Programmes and a Tailoring Centre were started under DISA in the Villages but could not sustain during the Corona Pandemic. Development and Empowerment actions are again initiated under DISA from 01 July 2024 with Field Office in a rented room, near the School
